Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) continues to demonstrate its commitment to community well-being through its seventh consecutive year of hearing aid support program for residents living in the vicinity of Suvarnabhumi Airport.

Today (October 29, 2024) at 10:00 AM, Dr. Kerati Kijmanawat, President of AOT, presided over the hearing aid distribution ceremony for communities surrounding Suvarnabhumi Airport. The ceremony was also attended by Mr. Kittipong Kittikachorn, General Manager of Suvarnabhumi Airport, and Ms. Paweena Jariyathitipong, Senior Executive Vice President (Engineering and Construction). The event, held at Function Room 1, 5th Floor, Airport Operations Building (AOB), is part of AOT's annual initiative organized by the Environmental Department, which aims to improve communication abilities of hearing-impaired individuals, enhance their quality of life, and strengthen relationships between AOT and local communities.

In 2024, the hearing assessment program screened 2,919 participants, identifying 2,299 with normal hearing and 620 with hearing impairment. After additional detailed evaluations by ENT specialists, 10 individuals with the most severe hearing loss were determined to need hearing aids. The recipients, from Bang Na Demonstration School, Pracharuamjai Nakhon 2 Housing Community, Rungkit Villa 9 Village, Ladkrabang Garden Village, and Chamchuri Village each received two hearing aid devices, totaling 20 devices worth 600,000 baht.
So far, AOT has provided 119 hearing aids to 69 individuals with hearing impairments, investing a total of 3,670,000 baht. AOT is committed to improving the quality of life in communities around its airports, in line with its corporate social responsibility and sustainable development policies across all six managed airports: Suvarnabhumi, Don Mueang, Chiang Mai, Hat Yai, Phuket, and Mae Fah Luang - Chiang Rai. These initiatives demonstrate AOT's dedication to being a responsible corporate citizen and a good neighbor to surrounding communities.
